How to convert text case

  1. Enter the identifier or sentence to convert.
  2. Select a target mode (camelCase, snake_case, kebab-case, PascalCase, and others).
  3. Output updates as you type.
  4. Copy the converted string. Words split on spaces, underscores, hyphens, dots, and camelCase boundaries.

What is Case Converter?

JavaScript uses camelCase, Python prefers snake_case, CSS and URLs use kebab-case, and constants often need UPPER_SNAKE. Converting between these by hand is tedious and error-prone — especially with acronyms like API or HTTP buried in the string.

Why use DevTilt's Case Converter?

  • camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, and UPPER_SNAKE
  • Handles acronyms and mixed-case input intelligently
  • Instant conversion on input change
  • Copy any case variant with one click

Common use cases

  • Converting a database column name to a JavaScript property name
  • Renaming a CSS class from kebab-case to camelCase for a React prop
  • Generating constant names from a human-readable label
  • Translating API field names between Python and TypeScript conventions

FAQ

camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE, dot.case, Title Case, lowercase, and UPPERCASE.
The converter splits on spaces, underscores, hyphens, dots, and camelCase boundaries so mixed inputs like hello_world or helloWorld convert consistently.
Digits stay attached to adjacent letters — user2Id becomes user2_id in snake_case.
Separators are normalized into word boundaries. Punctuation between words is treated as a split point, not copied into the output.
Paste the sentence — spaces become underscores and words lowercased. Title Case and UPPERCASE modes treat each word separately for display strings rather than code identifiers.
